So, why is it important to have data on PAD in DK?People often praise the quality of life in Denmark, but how accurate can that be when a whole community is invisible and underrepresented? People of African Descent (PAD) are distinct in their beliefs, behaviours, risk factors and factors such as mental illness as well as disease experience. By solely utilising population labels such as “ikke vestlige invandrere” and “vestlig invandrere” ignores the complexity of this group. We can advocate for and provide insight on PAD by having data.
